2018 Barbera

Possibly the best dinner wine in the world, Barbera works wonderfully with almost any conceivable dish.

Carefully bridging the gap between Old World and the New, Barbera was the first red grape we planted. It can ripen quite late and careful cultivation and cropping is a must. It may also be the ultimate food-pairing wine. With its vibrant freshness our Barbera has round yet bright plum fruit front and center with red and black berries, pomegranate, sage and a hint of violet in the low tannin, spicy and clean peppery finish. It features low oak and modest alcohol to allow the grape to speak for itself. 

Barbera is perfect with most pasta dishes, pizza, many tapas, Mexican food and much French bistro fare.
